3rd through 6th Grade Valley Explorers

Open to all 2022-23 incoming 3rd through 6th graders

*Must be experienced rider comfortable on all trails in Snowmass and Prince Creek.*

Rides will be on Monday and Wednesday from 8am – 2pm

 

For young riders aiming to develop and train with like-minded peers in a consistent environment.  This program will focus on bike handling, trail riding experience, and comradery. The program will explore different trails in the valley throughout the session.

 

Transportation will be provided by Roaring Fork Cycling shuttles. Pick-up and drop-off locations to be determined.

 

Program dates:

Session one: June 6th – June 29th

Session two: July 4th – July 28th

*Each session will have one trail stewardship and maintenance afternoon.

 

Cost:$750 per session

Practices will meet in a central location and will vary from Carbondale to Aspen with a special practice to be held at Coal Basin. Locations, rides, routes, are to be determined and will be communicated weekly. Coaches may vary from practice to practice. In the event of inclement weather, rides will be canceled. In those circumstances, alternative ride dates will be scheduled in summer to ensure the 8 practices/session are met.  Alternative activities may be adopted including mechanic skills, trail building, and team building.
