Summer Programming Update, May 6th 2020

Dear Parents, Athletes, and Coaches,

Thank you for helping Roaring Fork Cycling continue our pursuit to empower youth through cycling. We value the connections which make this possible, and as a community-supported non-profit organization, we know that we must also be community-supporting.

Right now, there are two actions we are taking to address our responsibility to you:

-We are planning to offer summer programming to your children starting June 29th.

-We are modifying those programs to reduce health risks for all involved.

Safety has always been our number one priority, and that is something that hasn’t changed. Establishing a plan with added layers of precaution that prioritizes the health & safety of riders, coaches and the broader community will change the way our programs are delivered: smaller group sizes, physical distancing between individuals & between groups, limited/no van transport and health checks prior to daily sessions are some of the measures being considered. Requirements from county public health officials and the CDC will be used as our starting point, not our finish line.

Once proper measures have been planned and implemented, Snowmass Summer Camps will commence on Monday, June 29th, the Junior Development Team, Girls’ Development Team, and High School Development Team will run a 4-week session starting Tuesday, July 7th. Sign-ups are live at the Town of Snowmass Village Recreation Center’s site, https://www.snowmassrecreation.com/ and at our website https://roaringforkcycling.org/programs-2/. We are accepting registrations and encourage you to do so early.

Please keep an eye on the website for frequent updates as the plans continue to develop, and follow us on social media @rfcycling. If you have any questions or concerns please email us.

We appreciate your support and trust and we are working hard to keep earning it. Remember, every climb also has a descent, and this one does too. We will ride together again!

Thank you!
